We do not set any cookies, and we do not use analytics, advertising or tracking tools.

To make the shop work, the site stores a small amount of information in your browser using local storage and session storage, which work much like cookies. Everything listed below is needed for a feature you use, so we do not ask for consent before storing it.

What we store in your browser

  • Your bag (sommiestee_cart, local storage): the items in your bag, so they are still there when you come back. It is emptied when you place an order, and kept until you clear your browser storage.
  • Your theme (sommiestee_theme, local storage): whether you chose light or dark mode. Kept until you clear it.
  • The mailing-list pop-up (sommiestee_subscribe_seen, local storage): remembers that you have already seen or closed the pop-up, so it does not keep appearing. Kept until you clear it.
  • The announcement bar (ann_dismissed, session storage): remembers that you closed the banner at the top of the page. Removed when you close the tab.
  • Site updates (sommiestee_chunk_reload, session storage): a technical note that stops the page reloading in a loop just after we publish an update. Removed when you close the tab.
  • Staff sign-in (a sb-…-auth-token entry, local storage): keeps our staff signed in to the admin area. It is only ever created for staff, never for customers.

None of these identify you, and none is shared with anyone else.

Third parties

When you pay, Flutterwave opens its own secure payment window. Flutterwave may use its own cookies inside that window to process and protect your payment; these are covered by Flutterwave's privacy and cookie policies. Flutterwave's checkout is only loaded on our checkout page.

Our website fonts are served from our own site, and we do not embed social media or video players that track you. Links to Instagram take you to Instagram, where its own policies apply.

Your choices

You can clear everything listed above at any time through your browser's settings, usually under "Clear browsing data" or "Site data". If you do, your bag will be emptied and your theme will reset. Blocking local storage entirely may stop the bag from working.

If this changes

If we ever add analytics or advertising tools, we will ask for your consent before they run, and update this policy first.
